As a squash player to play the professional circuit in the tour I said WISPs out there about the importance of squash as an Olympic sport for me and any other player in Squash.

Squash is a sport well known throughout the world with squash federation that runs around the world-renowned tournaments through the years. It is difficult to understand the fact that squash is still neglected in past Olympics despite covering all aspects of an entire sport.

The Olympics is the highlight of every top athlete in any area of sport. A medal at the Olympic Games demonstrates the prestige of being the best at what you do and have a state with all the best athletes in their respective sports. Each athlete is the dream of being part of the biggest games in the world. Being a professional squash player and just watching it happen just do not seem right.

Squash has been in all the other great games and I am a medalist at the most, is that the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and SEA Games. When I get the opportunity to represent Malaysia in any of these games, it is becoming overwhelming. Winning a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, is an experience that can never describe it in that pumpkin is the biggest game for us at this time.

Imagine the intensity of the gourd when it is in the Olympics and winning the first medal is to be an incredible achievement that leads all the rest.
Nothing can compare to an Olympic medal.

The closest I came to participate in the Olympics is when the Malaysian public voted for me to be one of the torch in the Olympic Games in Athens. The popularity of squash in Malaysia has grown tremendously after the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998, so that public awareness to squash did this happen to me.

Squash was not in the Olympics after Athens, but I felt I was safe from everything. As a carrier of the torch on behalf of my country was the drum of my life, what more sports in the Olympics, which led me to run the torch in the first place.

We have to be a place in the Olympics, because they deserve that place in 2012.
